Metal Thimble - Gdansk, Port Crane

Metal thimble featuring a relief image of the Historical Port Crane (Żuraw) with "GDAŃSK" lettering below. Located over the Motława River in Gdańsk, the Crane was constructed in the 1400s to assist with the shipyard—it was the largest port crane in medieval Europe. On the opposite side the thimble is a relief image of the contemporary Polish White Eagle with "POLSKA" lettering below.
