A touching film about a mother and daughter's turbulent relationship, and the importance of family during times of great difficulty. This tense social drama stars acclaimed Polish actress Teresa Budzisz-Krzyzanowska (White) in her award-winning role as a woman of German ancestry who lives in the Mazurian Lake district of Poland. Never at home in Poland, she wants her daughter to take her back to Germany, which she considers her true homeland. The daughter, however, considers herself Polish and does not take her mother's wishes too seriously, until she wakes up one morning to find her mother packed and ready for departure.
