Metal thimble featuring a relief image of the Dar Pomorza
, one of the most famous Polish naval sail ships ever, with "DAR POMORZA" lettering below. Originally built in Hamburg, Germany, as a training vessel for German cadets, the boat it was given to France as reparation for World War I. Shortly afterwards, it was sold to the Polish Government. Under the Polish Flag, the ship was in service for 50 years! Since 1981, the ship has served as a stationary museum in the Gdynia Harbor. On the opposite side the thimble is a relief image of the contemporary Polish White Eagle with "POLSKA" lettering below.
