Hussar's assignment was to crush position of infantry and to fight with light cavalry. In this formation could serve only rich nobility prepare to the military trade from the birth. Hussar was armed in Polish construction saber, a lance, 2 pistols, often huge range reflective bow and so called "kalkan" shield. Famous wings at first were attached to a saddle in order to protect rider from the Tatar arcane. After that pinned on to the hussar back served as a decoration and psychological attribute to scare enemy (they were making huge noise when hussar regiment was charging in full gallop).It takes a very knowledgeable and talented artist to create military figures that meet the expectations of the most demanding collectors. We were fortunate to become friends with one whose specialty is Polish army figures. He makes only a few per month, so you may wait 4-5 months before your order will be filled. But, when you receive it, your patience will be rewarded when you open the box. They are amazing and worth the wait. The attention to detail and historical accuracy is breath taking.
