Poland Map Magnet - Olsztyn, Copernicus & Museum

Hand-painted resin magnet in the shape of the country of Poland with a raised relief scene from the city of "OLSZTYN" along with the city's emblem. Featured on the magnet is the statue of Nicolaus Copernicus (Mikołaj Kopernik) which rests in front of the old Teutonic Knight's Ordensburg castle. The castle today is the Museum of Warmia and Mazury (Muzeum Warmii i Mazur). Copernicus resided at the castle during 1516-21 as the economic administrator and served as the director of defense during the Polish-Teutonic War of 1519-21. Magnet designed to be placed on a refrigerator or other stationary metal surface.
